beach wedding

A few weekends ago I went to the beautiful beach wedding of my friend Tracey and her partner Al. They had the ceremony at Little Cove Beach at Noosa and it was a glorious afternoon. The thing I loved most about it was how relaxed it was... it didn't matter if the bride got sand on her dress, or if her hair was windswept (in fact the windswept hair made her look all the more beautiful!).  It made me realise that your wedding day should be about embracing, as with life, the perfect imperfection of it all.  The bride and groom were so happy it was infectious, and quite emotional.

Tracey and Al are one of those couples that you can really tell are absolutely head over heels in love with another another. The wedding celebrant recounted their love story of how sparks flew the moment they first laid eyes on each other, and you can still see today the way they look at each other with such warmth and tenderness. I heard a love song recently with the line "people would say that we're the lucky ones" and I did gush over Tracey a bit to tell her how lucky she is to have married the man of her dreams !!

It is very inspiring to see such true love, and I can only hope that, oneday, I will be as lucky.

It was a fairytale wedding....

Literally!!!

source: unknown but thanks to my friend Zoe for emailing it to me- what a hoot!

REBUTTAL:

So it turns out it may not be so literal after all!  Looks as if  some sneaky photoshopping has been at work here. Check out the real images:

a royal affair

One week on, I wonder what Kate and William are up to as royal newlyweds.
Here I share my favourite royal wedding moments.

The first glimse of the dashing princes.

I really liked how the Queen wore a yellow outfit! I thought it was perfect for such a joyous occassion and she matches all the reds and golds of the pomp and pagentry.

The cute bridesmaids and paigeboys.

That dress! Kate looked so beautiful. Her sister Pippa is very striking as well.

This was actually my favourite part of the ceremony- Cheeky Harry turns around and gets a peek of Kate, and whispers to his brother, here she is now. It made me feel giddy with happiness imagining the butterflies William would be feeling at this moment!

When William first saw Kate he told her she looked lovely, really beautiful. He also had a little joke with Kate's father Michael that it was suppose to be just a small family affair.

The carriage ride. Sigh.

The famous balcony kiss and Prince William's now infamous little goddaughter holding her hands over her ears to block out the thousands of cheers!

That crowd; mind-blowing. It makes me want to be in London!

The after party dress-
I love how she had an opportunity to wear a modern wedding dress too.
